PARENTS COMMITTEE 

The parents committee assists the coaches in the running of the team. In addition to the list of activities below, parents assist in tasks such as the registration process and in the coordination of USA Swim Meets.  In order to run a good program, the parents have to be involved.  Meetings are held throughout the season while the swim practices are going on.  All parents are welcome to attend.  There are many opportunities to become involved.  Here are just a few:

 ·        Timers for meets

·        Runners for meets

·        Meet Marshalls

·        Ribbon writers for meets

·        Fundraising

·        Communication  (Bulletin Board, Website, email (please keep Maggie Hiel updated with your correct email address.  email is the best way to communicate to the entire team)

·        Event planning

AWARDS DINNER

At the end of the season an Awards Dinner is held for all team members and their family.  This is a very special event and gives everyone the chance to reflect over the past season and honor the swimmers for their hard work and great accomplishments.  Each team member is recognized for participation on the team and special awards are announced for boys and girls:  Age group High Points Award, Most Valuable Award, Coaches Award and Most Improved Award.

The date, location and cost of the Awards Dinner will be announced.

USA MEETS

You will receive a separate enrollment form for swimmers to become registered USA swimmers.  These meets are usually scheduled over the course of an entire weekend, with certain events taking place on specified days only.  There is an additional fee for each event that a swimmer enters.  This fee will be taken out of your family account (see Fees section).

GOALS

The coaches will put together goal sheets for each of the swimmers.  The goals for each stroke will be based on the time trial times registered by each swimmer early in the season.  Goals will be given for mid year and end of year.

TEAM ROSTER

The team roster will be available for all families.  It contains name of swimmer(s), home address, phone number, parents name, birth date of swimmer(s), email address.
